The mission of the zazen Living Water School Program is “To create a generation of wellness children through educating them in the classroom on the benefits of wellness and by implementing enhanced learning environments with wellness technologies that improve their physical and mental wellbeing”. The Program addresses the fundamental need for children to be properly hydrated with the right quality water throughout the day.
If children (and adults) are not replacing the water they lose on a daily basis through breathing, perspiring and eliminating, which is 1 litre of water for every 25 kgs of body weight, then they are dehydrated. We found that most children simply don’t choose to drink water because they don’t like the taste of it. zazen Living Water fixes that – kids love the taste!
Many parents ask us if the foods and other drinks children have each day will also hydrate them. The answer is Yes, they can receive up to 20% of their daily water need from these sources, depending of course on what it is they are eating.
To achieve our mission of having the very best quality water available to every child at school, at NO COST to the school, the zazen Living Water School Program offers a number of benefits to schools who support the rollout of the program to their school community.
Every 5 zazen systems sold within the school community (current families, teaching staff, past students, local businesses) enables us to:
- Put a FREE zazen Living Water system into a classroom - value $395
- Support the Parent Committee with a donation of $250 for promoting the program
- Donate $100 towards Social or 3rd World Projects within the school (or if there is no existing projects we donate the funds on behalf of the school to the Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation www.nyof.org to free girls as young as 6 from slavery in Nepal)
- $25 goes toward One Planet Sustainability school initiatives (plant a tree, etc)
Total funds of $375.00 are given back to the school’s Parent Committee committee plus a FREE zazen Living Water system goes into a classroom valued at $395.00.
We also provide school resource kits for our Water Ambassador Lessons, which are targeted at Primary School classrooms which have the free zazen Living Water systems. The zazen filtration and remineralisation system emulates nature’s drinking water cycle and it is used to educate the children on how Mother Nature creates Living Water ~ our ideal drinking water.
